There are very few attachments that make a stitch for doll clothes. The hemstitcher is that attachment and it takes some getting used to. Pratice and you get good at it, but the material used is also important. Not all material will work and the better the material the easier the hemstitcher will make the stitch. Here is a Singer 221 hemstitcher, notice the plate is different and this is the only plate that will work on the Singer 221. Be sure the hemstitcher has the two little pads on the attachment.
